2018 Ford Explorer in Spokane Valley

We at Gus Johnson Ford are excited to take a brief minute of your time to let you know about the exciting new 2018 Ford Explorer in Spokane Valley. This quality SUV builds upon an already impressive platform, as there are a few upgrades from previous models. You still benefit from the exceptional drivability and curbside appeal, and as always the technology features are impressive.

Design and Features of the 2018 Ford Explorer

The base trim features will include air conditioning (with air filtration), cruise control, cargo hooks, a cargo net, daytime running lights, and a leather-wrapped shift knob. Outside, you’ll find a number features that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional. Among the highlights are dual chrome exhaust tips, a body-color liftgate spoiler, LED lights, power mirrors, and acoustic-laminate windshield glass.

The 2018 Ford Explorer in Spokane Valley isn’t fully redesigned, but there are a few more compelling bells and whistles offered for the new model. For example, there is now 4G Wi-Fi hotspot capability, and several devices can be in use at once. There’s also the FordPass app, and it provides a good amount of remote vehicle operation features (via a smartphone) that are usually only found in exotic luxury vehicles.

Performance of the 2018 Explorer in Spokane Valley

Another new highlight for this year is the Safe and Smart Package. It’s convenient in that you don’t have to mix and match a multitude of packages to get the smart safety features that you desire—it’s all in one bundle. Included are blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, cross-traffic alert, automatic high-beam headlights, and rain-sensing wipers. Other features of note included on the 2018 Ford Explorer in Spokane Valley are antilock brakes, a tire pressure monitoring system, a passenger sensing airbag system, and electronic brakeforce distribution.

The base engine for the lineup will be the familiar 3.5 liter V6 that makes for 290hp and 255 lb-ft of torque. Next up is Ford’s 2.3 liter turbocharged four-cylinder that is good for 280hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The Sport trim gets an exclusive turbocharged version of the 3.5 liter, and as such output is raised to 365hp and 360 lb-ft of torque. Fuel economy looks to the be same as in previous years.

For more information on the release date and to set up a test drive, don’t hesitate to either call or stop by our Spokane Valley, WA establishment at any time during our convenient business hours. We are here every day of the week, and our hours are convenient. We look forward to serving you.
